Job Description:

We are in search of 3 tax professionals to join our new Tax Solutions service line. As a Tax Specialist / CPA, you will be working directly with financial advisors and their clients in tax services; including tax preparation, planning, research, and compliance. You will primarily be responsible for tax return preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and other entity returns.  There will also be opportunities for future advancement, as you grow into this position and assist with the launching of our new service line.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide tax planning guidance to clients and identify planning opportunities
  • Prepare accurate tax projections and calculate estimated taxes
  • Compile all tax related documents and prepare complete and accurate federal and state tax returns
  • Perform technical research on tax related issues that arise
  • Assist clients with IRS and State tax notices and provide audit support
  • Assist with all other tax related projects
  • Communicate effectively with clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Track time and maintain appropriate records

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Authorized to live and work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • CPA or EA with 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting or related field
  • Lacerte tax software or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred
  • Ability to work both collaboratively with teams as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to monitor deadlines and balance many projects simultaneously

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Company will pay for Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

  • Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 / year, dependent on experience

  • Relocation assistance available, if applicable

  • 401K (4.5% match on 6% contribution)
