About the Position:

We’re looking for an experienced accountant with a love of details and a knack for organization to join our team of expert bookkeepers. In this role, you’ll help manage operations, “own” multiple sets of books, and take the lead on complex accounting issues and initiatives. As a Senior Accountant on the Bean Team, you'll be the go-to for our entire team of bookkeepers and will have the know-how to answer complicated accounting questions, help with accounting coaching and webinars, and balance a sizable workload.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage a full workload of ~60-70 clients on a monthly basis without breaking a sweat; you’ll communicate with those clients and deliver error-free, on-time work while maintaining a monthly revenue target

  • Be the star of in-depth accounting webinars and put your expertise on display

  • Guide members, teammates, and clients through basic bookkeeping principles and processes and be their go-to for bookkeeping questions

  • You know the ins and outs of accounting principles like the back of your hand and you understand how they relate to the regulatory environment XYBC operates under

  • Prepare tax-to-book adjustments and deliver on the translation of a tax return to a set of books

  • You have an impressive command of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

  • Solve complex accounting problems

  • Take the lead with client onboarding

  • Make quick work of one-off accounting clean-up, review, and consulting projects

  • Review the work of and provide feedback for XYBC’s all-star bookkeepers

  • Contribute your talents to XYBC’s strategic vision to make departmental goals a reality

Start Date: Immediately

Status: Full-time (40-45 hours/week)

Location: Bozeman, MT(ability to work virtually until coronavirus restrictions are lifted and we reopen our office)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,886
  • Equity Program : All team members at XYPN are owners! We annually contribute an equivalent of 8% of your compensation into our ESOP as part your benefit
  • Unlimited vacation days to maintain work-life harmony (we require that you take a minimum of 3 weeks of vacation per year)

    What You’ll Bring to the Table

    • Legally authorized to live and work in US.

    • 3+ years of experience in the accounting industry, or relevant experience at a public accounting firm; when it comes to navigating the relationship between accounting, bookkeeping, taxation and regulation, you’ve been there, done that

    • Previous bookkeeping experience, preferably with multiple clients

    • You thrive on collaboration and are eager to contribute to a team

    • From deadlines to projects, you’re a multi-tasking superstar

    • You’re a Quickbooks Online pro

    • You’re a master communicator and your verbal and written skills are unrivaled

    • You always welcome change with a smile

    What Would Make Us Drool

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s of Business Administration with Accounting focus

    • Experience with partnership equity structures, corporations, and basis calculations

    • A wealth of public accounting experience

    • CPA designation or candidacy

    • Experience in the financial services industry and with payroll and accounting software system (we’d seriously swoon)
