Status: Full-time (Regular - Exempt)

Hours: 40-45 hours per week w/flexible schedule

Location: Bozeman, MT

Reports to: Director of Advisor Success

Job Description: 

XYPN is looking for a Sales Coach to work with XYPN advisors as they launch, grow, and build their financial planning businesses. This is a new position within our organization and the primary responsibilities will include: developing an XYPN sales training program based on relationship sales, facilitating the sales training program for XYPN advisors, and providing best practices to firm owners on how to refine and enhance their sales processes.  


The Sales Coach will help new firms set up their sales process and work with them on developing their story, communication skills, and how to build lasting client relationships. Once firms have moved beyond the launch phase, the Sales Coach will work with them on refining and enhancing their sales process. Coaching will be delivered through recorded training, webinars, group coaching, and one-on-one coaching. Overall, the Sales Coach will be responsible for the development and delivery of all XYPN advisor sales training, while helping lead the overall strategy for all sales training provided to XYPN firms.  



  • Create and launch XYPN Sales Training Program
  • Providing sales training in group coaching and individual coaching format
  • Provide one-on-one coaching with experienced advisors and firms on sales techniques and refining their sales process 
  • Lead the strategy for all sales training and support delivered to all XYPN firms
  • Present sales-related webinars and educational sessions throughout the year
  • Present at our #XYPNLIVE conference and other in-person events to help improve our members ability to communicate the value of financial planning
  • Train new XYPN team members on sales techniques
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship of team members in sales roles throughout the organization
  • Additional coaching and training responsibilities might be added depending on background and experience 


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering sales training

  • Experience developing a sales training program

  • Experience in facilitating group coaching calls and providing one-on-one coaching

  • Authorized to live and work in the United States

What would make us drool:

  • Experience providing relationship-based sales training to financial advisors
  • Direct outbound sales experience 
  • An understanding of the financial planning business and what training is required for new advisors launching an RIA  

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $85,106 - $103,048 / year (dependent on experience)

  • Relocation assistance available, if applicable

  • 401K (4.5% match on 6% contribution)
