About the Position:

XYPN is in search of a full-time Director of Partnerships to join the Member Success team in beautiful Bozeman, MT. This is a unique, newly created opportunity to build, deliver, and execute a cohesive partnership strategy at a mission-driven organization. We’re looking for an accomplished and creative professional with a solid foundation of success who is ready to support and steer the company as it continues along its rapid growth trajectory. Today, nearly 1,350 fee-for-service financial advisors across the U.S. are part of our ever-growing Network; as XYPN’s Director of Partnerships, you’ll leverage an intentional portfolio of third-party partnerships to create more opportunity for those advisors to run successful businesses. 


To start, you’ll engage with XYPN’s Leadership team to evaluate existing partnerships and identify strategic gaps to be filled by new partner relationships. From there, you’ll formulate a company-wide strategy for identifying needs, developing relationships with providers, negotiating contracts, and managing the portfolio of partnerships. What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, execute, and manage a third-party partnership strategy for XYPN
  • Forge and foster partner relationships that help XYPN achieve its strategic objectives
  • Manage ongoing relationships with vendors to ensure efficient inclusion in XYPN’s member benefit offering. This includes:
    • Clear definition of responsibilities
    • Required marketing and messaging support
    • Adequate service level requirements
    • Efficient invoicing a payment systems
    • Ongoing calendar of renewals and required amendments
    • Competitive pricing
  • Routinely research top competitors and industry news to assess competitive landscape and corporate positioning
  • Routinely research top service and technology providers in the financial planning industry to assess opportunity for new partnerships with XYPN
  • Actively seek out new independent vendors and technology partnerships that fulfill XYPN’s strategic needs
  • Manage relationships of prospective partners through diligence and execution of agreements
  • Maintain communications with XYPN’s Member Success and Sales and Marketing teams and service lines to help “sell” the value of products and services
  • Support with other duties as necessary

Start Date: Immediately

Status: Full-time (40-45 hours/week)

Location: Bozeman, MT 

Department: Member Success

Reports to: Senior Director of Member Success

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $86,808/year

    Requirements

    What You’ll Bring to the Table:

      • 5+ years developing and leading successful sales or partnership teams
      • Background in fintech and/or SaaS partnerships
      • High degree of strategic and analytical capability, and an ability to analyze new partnerships in financial terms
      • Proven track record of utilizing partnerships to increase revenue generation opportunities
      • A willingness to not just oversee, but to also do many things; this means getting your hands dirty in the details
      • Flexibility; daily and monthly tasks will quickly evolve and you need to be willing and able to roll with the punches
      • A solution-oriented mindset paired with the ability to think strategically and creatively when making decisions
      • The confidence to implement new ideas and be held accountable for their results
