Company Overview:

XY Planning Network (XYPN) is the leading organization for fee-for-service financial advisors who want to serve Gen X and Gen Y clients, providing comprehensive financial planning services for a monthly subscription fee without product sales or asset minimums. The Network offers a virtual community for new and established financial advisors who want to serve a younger clientele and provides its members compliance support services, marketing support, business tools and templates, and a wide range of technology solutions.

XYPN was nationally recognized as one of The 346 Best Places to Work in 2019 by Inc. magazine. In addition, we have earned accolades in 2018, 2019, and 2020 as one of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Montana and in the US by Inc. magazine. This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing company that is reshaping the financial services industry for the better.

About the Position:

We’re looking for a full-time Content and Curriculum Manager to join XYPN’s Advisor Education Team in beautiful Bozeman, MT. In this role, you’ll focus on the delivery of quality educational content and a top-notch curriculum to XYPN members. The goal? Help those members run successful businesses and be more effective financial planners for their next-gen clients.

We are value-focused and strive to help financial planners best serve their clients, furthering XYPN’s mission to help people live their great lives. We don’t fabricate reasons for hangin’ around—if members don’t see and believe in the value of membership, they can leave at any time. That’s why it’s absolutely essential that we deliver great content to our membership, articulate value, and engage with members every. single. day.

The Advisor Education Team achieves these goals by providing education to XYPN advisors through multiple coaching formats (one-on-one, small group, and Network-wide), an online course platform called XYPN Academy, and tools and resources for members to use in their own practices. You’ll be responsible for designing online courses and content in XYPN Academy, managing XYPN’s webinar series, coordinating content tracks for our annual national conference—#XYPNLIVE—and building tools for XYPN members to use in their firms.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Write and design courses, modules, activities, and tutorials to improve and expand the offerings within XYPN Academy, our learning management software.

  • Develop and organize a scalable process for the creation, maintenance, and communication of visual, text, and video content.

  • Measure and report on content and curriculum performance, identify gaps in our content, and translate user experience insights into content that serves member needs as they arise.

  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure content is up to date, clear, engaging, and well-organized. Uncover opportunities to repurpose and/or refresh content.

  • Build tools and create templates, checklists, and how-to guides for XYPN members to use in their firms.

  • Help develop a standardized XYPN member education journey and template deliverables that members can use and adapt in their own practices.

  • As the department grows, coordinate content and curriculum acquisition from our subject matter experts (SME’s).

  • Coordinate a 12-month calendar of webinar content for members, seek out new presenters and topics, and track presenter feedback.

  • Collaborate with XYPN’s Advisor Education and Events Teams to coordinate the content track at our national conference, #XYPNLIVE.

  • Support Advisor Education programs by creating, reviewing, and providing feedback on training materials, attending training(s), and/or facilitating sessions.

  • In collaboration with XYPN’s Marketing Team, uphold Advisor Education style guidelines and brand resources.

  • Advocate for and uphold content style guidelines and quality across Advisor Education.
