Status: Part-time (Hourly - Nonexempt)

Hours: 

  • 10-15 hours per week for the first 6 weeks
  • Up to 25 hours per week thereafter

Job Description:

As a Compliance Project Intern with XYPN, you will work with our Compliance team to execute our Annual ADV Update service through which we assist several hundred of our members with the completion of their required Annual ADV Update filing as required by their state securities regulators. This project involves collecting data from the member regarding the number of clients they have, the amount of assets under management they have, as well as any other material changes on their Form ADV that occured over their previous fiscal year. After the member provides that information via an electronic questionnaire, you will be responsible for inputting the updated information with a high level of accuracy and then communicating the completion of the updates to the member in a timely manner.

This project commences on November 1, 2019 with 6 - 8 weeks of training, and the execution of the project will start on January 2, 2020 until as late as March 31, 2020, depending on the volume of Annual ADV Updates we receive.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Become proficient in the execution of the Annual ADV Updates prior to the start of the project. This will be accomplished through 6-8 weeks of training starting in November 2019.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the information and forms that you will be updating as part of this project. This will also be accomplished through the 6-8 weeks of training.
  • Execute each Annual ADV Update with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Expect to complete 500-700 Annual ADV Updates over an 8-12 week timeframe.
  • Communicate with each member regarding the status of and completion of their annual ADV Update
  • Promptly escalate questions received from members to one of our experienced compliance specialists and consultants for immediate response and resolution
  • Utilize the systems and technology that we provide to ensure consistent and accurate process tracking and reporting

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Assist our Compliance team with additional projects or tasks when appropriate
  • Provide timely feedback to Supervisor regarding the current status of the project and any issues that need addressed
  • Promptly notify a member of our Compliance team when you identify any potential issues or concerns regarding the process or an experience with a member. Communication is key to successfully completing this project

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Authorized to live and work in the United States
  • Undergraduate Degree or in the process of obtaining degree
  • Ideal applicant will thrive working independently for extended periods of time
  • Administrative, multitasking, file management and organization skills are required
  • No direct financial planning experience is required for this position

Compensation & Benefits:
