About the Position:

We are looking for a strategic, results-driven, and detail-oriented CAO who can take responsibility as an Executive at XY Planning Network and help us scale through the next stage of growth (the path from ~50 to 250 team members). We are looking for a leader who is skilled at taking the strategic plan of the company, and converting it to an executable plan with the available resources.

This dedicated leader will develop and maintain control of all business operations (currently Operations and Finance), and will be an experienced and efficient leader with excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic.

In addition, the right candidate will have an instinctive ability to recognize, retain, develop, and respect the talent within the organization, and help guide team members to reach their full potential through support and mentorship. A critical part of this talent management is recognizing the organization’s culture and how talent adds to or detracts from a culture that is unique to XYPN

    What You’ll Do:

    • Oversee the company’s daily operations, and lead the implementation of our EOS tools to ensure the organization is consistently “rowing” together in the same direction
    • Oversee Operations and Finance functions of the organization
    • Lead the preparation of financial and company data reports for monthly executive meetings and quarterly board meetings
    • Work with the rest of the executive team to constantly understand what metrics measure performance today and what metrics will be required as the business matures.
    • As a member of the executive team this role comes with responsibility for executing the strategic business plan, and achieving or exceeding established P&L objectives
    • Collaborate and stay on the same page with the CEO
    • Assists in developing comprehensive goals for performance and growth strategies
    • Effectively problem-solve and resolve issues that arise anywhere in the company - must be comfortable with change managing conflict, addressing issues, and solving problems in a practical and healthy manner
    • Identify areas of opportunities for capital improvements across the organization, including opportunities to improve revenue, reduce cost, and increase profitability throughout the organization, all while improving efficiency
    • Attract, retain, and develop a team of high-performing leaders
    • Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments
    • Consistently demonstrates a passion for values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity across the organization

    The Deets:

    • Start Date: Immediately
    • Status: Full-time (40 - 45 hours/week w/flexible schedule)
    • Location: Bozeman, MT (ability to work virtually until coronavirus restrictions are lifted and we reopen our office)
    • Department: Executive
    • Reports to: CEO

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Salary: $150,000/annually
    • Unlimited vacation days to maintain work-life harmony (we require that you take a minimum of 3 weeks of vacation per year)
      • 8 paid holidays when the office is closed

      • $2,000/year available in Professional Development Funds

      What You’ll Bring to the Table:

      Must haves:

        • Proven results as an Integrator, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, or a similarly relevant role
        • Experience building high-performing teams, including the ability to recognize and cultivate rising talent
        • Adept at transitioning seamlessly from taking strategic-level vision input and applying it to day-to-day tactical operations
        • Passion for data analysis and performance/operation metrics
        • A demonstrated execution mindset, and a record of success holding people accountable
        • Understanding of and ability to create healthy organizational culture
        • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
        • Varied experiences and responsibilities in Operations, Finance, and Human Resources

        What would make us drool:

        • Experience leading high-performance teams within the financial services industry/profession
        • Experience working with an EOS® company is strongly preferred
        • Experience growing and scaling a business from 50 to 250+ team members
