About the Position:

As one of the friendly and energetic Business Development Specialists on our team, you will have a passion for helping us grow XY Planning Network! Some of the primary things you’ll be doing regularly include working with inbound marketing leads via email and meeting daily phone meeting targets to ensure speedy responses to curious XYPN members. Additionally, you’ll be following up with internal resources, taking responsibility for tracking and proactively following up with existing leads in the pipeline, helping develop exciting new initiatives to generate leads, scheduling (fun!) networking events, and meticulously tracking data

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Help qualify and manage lead/prospect pipeline to drive membership growth
  •  Conduct timely and enthusiastic introductory and follow up calls with prospective members
  •  Manage to track and follow up with existing leads in the pipeline through XYPN’s prospect nurturing methodology
  •  Answer incoming emails and phone calls with questions about XYPN membership and schedule Intro Calls with prospective members to drive membership growth
  • Maintain an accurate database of prospective members
  • Help maintain insightful monthly reports based on pipeline data
  • Attend 10 to 20 industry events/conferences per year
  • May oversee or coordinate other department needs as assigned

Other Responsibilities:

  • Shared accountability for new membership growth
  • Coordinate logistics for industry events/conferences
  • Gain expertise within XYPN’s Service Lines to recognize interest from prospective members

  • Manage conference swag inventory


The Deets:

Start Date: Immediately

Status: Full-time (40-45 hours/week)

Location: Bozeman, MT(ability to work virtually until coronavirus restrictions are lifted and we reopen our office)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: 53,164
  • Equity Program : All team members at XYPN are owners! We annually contribute an equivalent of 8% of your compensation into our ESOP as part your benefit

    Requirements

    What You’ll Bring to the Table

    • Legally authorized to live and work in US

    • Motivated to meet sales goals

    • Strong tech-savviness and the ability to pick up new technology quickly

    • Desire to support the growth of the next generation of financial planners!

    • A high sense of urgency, personal responsibility, and integrity

    • Flexibility, as daily tasks will evolve over time

    • Comfortable and adept at working in a partially virtual environment

    • Ability to speak comfortably and confidently, both face-to-face at conferences and over the phone

    • Excellent writing skills and the ability to convey a positive tone through email

    • Familiarity with working within HubSpot is a plus but not required

    • Ability to manage sales data reporting, including tracking and reporting via spreadsheets and our CRM software (you’re the master of ensuring nothing falls through the cracks!)


    What Would Make Us Drool


    • BA/BS or similar degree in an applicable field or relevant experience

    • Previous retail or outbound telephone sales experience preferred, but not required

    • Background in the personal finance or financial advisor facing topics

    • Experience attending industry conferences and talking with prospects

    • Prior customer-facing sales experience

    • Previous conference or trade show experience

    • You could sell stripes to a zebra, spots to a cow, or apples to an orchard!
