About the Position:
As a Bookkeeping Specialist, you will collaborate with our virtuoso financial advisor clients to manage their books, provide monthly reconciliation, and answer inquiries related to their financial situation. Being meticulous with a huzzah level of customer service is essential for this role! While delivering top-notch work with unparalleled accuracy , you’ll get to build long-lasting relationships with the clients.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Manage the books for, review, and communicate/resolve issues with 60+ clients monthly without breaking a sweat.

  • Categorize income, expenses, transfers and record payroll.

  • Curate blogs specific to our niche - bookkeeping for financial advisors.

  • Demonstrate understanding of beginner accounting principles and get the hang of their relation to the regulatory environment in which XYBC operates.

  • Master GAAP as it relates to our clients.

  • Perform bookkeeping clean-up or data entry projects, as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Team lead to set quarterly goals and accomplish them.

  • Support the strategic vision set by the Director of XYBC

Start Date: Immediately

Status: Full-time (40-45 hours/week)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $53,164
  • Equity Program : All team members at XYPN are owners! We annually contribute an equivalent of 8% of your compensation into our ESOP as part your benefit

Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Legally authorized to live and work in the United States

  • Experience working in the accounting environment

  • Formal Education in Accounting Discipline

  • Ability to collaborate with the accounting team, interns, and other departments within the organization

  • Desire to be adept and ability to communicate basic accounting & bookkeeping concepts, specific to our niche to interns, co-workers & clients

  • Attention to detail is paramount in Bookkeeping

  • Ability to handle multiple monthly ongoing tasks without deviating from deadline

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bookkeeping experience, preferably with multiple clients


What Would Make Us Drool

  • Understanding of and proficiency in Quickbooks Online, and QBO Pro Advisor certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field (preferably accounting or finance)

  • Familiarity with and the ability to explain the equity section on a balance sheet

  • Public accounting or public tax preparation experience

  • Background in the financial services industry

  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll

  • Familiarity with different accounting software systems

  • Experience or an utmost desire to be part of a quickly growing work environment.
